Reddit Post Profiler
Paste a link to a Reddit post. For everyone who commented, see how active they were in that subreddit before the post, and where else they post and comment.
Scheduler
Scans run one after another, each with the options set when it was added. You can switch to other tabs or windows while it runs, but keep this tab open; if it's closed, the queue is kept and picks up again when you press Start queue. Finished scans are listed under Saved scans. To go easy on the free API, the queue holds up to 25 scans, profiles 2 users at a time, and profiles only the 300 most active commenters of a bigger thread unless “Only the N most active commenters” was set.
Request breakdown
Sorted by comments in the thread. The coloured badge rates their posts and comments in before this post was made: Click a user for every subreddit they'd been active in before the post; their post and comment counts link to those posts and comments on Arctic Shift. saved marks results reused from an earlier scan.
Saved scans
Scans you've run in this browser. Open one to see its users again straight away, with no requests; Scan again checks the thread for new commenters and reuses saved results for the rest.
No saved scans yet. Scans you run are saved here, in this browser only.
About and responsible use
Everything shown is public Reddit activity, archived by Arctic Shift, a free archive run by a volunteer. This page only counts that activity. Your scans go straight from your browser to Arctic Shift and to the project's file host on Cloudflare, which lists the subreddits with archive files and serves those files; results are kept only in your browser.
- Use it to understand a discussion, such as whether a thread's commenters are regulars in the subreddit. Don't use it to single out, harass or brigade people, and remember a count isn't the whole story about anyone.
- Counts can be incomplete: the archive can miss posts and comments, and anything removed before it was archived isn't there. Deleted accounts and AutoModerator are skipped.
- Go easy on the API. It's shared by everyone who uses it, so profile the most active commenters where that's enough and avoid scanning the same thread over and over. Saved results are reused for 7 days by default.
- Want your data removed? Arctic Shift takes removal requests. Once your data is removed there, this tool can't see it either.
